Lightning Talks are short (time box 0.5h) weekly presentations on current, technical and non-technical subjects which all interested colleagues can attend.
We hold regular events with presentations on in-depth technical issues at which we are also glad to welcome external guests. They are planned, prepared and conducted by internal and external developers.
The Technology Radar is our annual expert inquiry on the latest "bleeding edge" technology trends with a joint assessment of their significance for the company. This is ideal for spotting trends and interests and then responding to them together.
We conduct a 12-month training program with a dedicated, technical focus for our employees. Participation is voluntary and takes place after consultation with the line manager. Obligations: technical documentation, internal presentation, internal consulting, external lecture or article. Rights: entitlement to external further training, time allocation for self-education, financial bonus

We offer a comprehensive employee participation programme with a voting platform and an elected team, consisting of individual employees from every department. The (half-yearly rotating) chairperson of the moderation team regularly participates in executive meetings and has the opportunity to present the collected concerns there.
We conduct an employee survey every year. All tarent employees are surveyed anonymously on a variety of topics. The findings and the resulting need for action are communicated and addressed. The entire tarent team is kept informed continuously on the current status. On completion, a joint concluding event takes place.
Once a year a strategy day is held for all tarent employees to sharpen our focus and collect ideas. In workshops on various topics staff gain an insight into other departments and divisions as well as the opportunity to participate.
At the tarent Universal, colleagues share their knowledge on non-technical matters. This consists of a series of presentations, which take place outside working hours. The contents are topics that are not directly related to our daily work, but reflect personal special fields of an employee, such as a lecture on outer space, a workshop on sorcery...
CommunicationGood communication is important to us. All employees are informed regularly about the status of the company through our internal blog, departmental meetings and quarterly staff meetings.
Every employee can gain insight into the parameters for succes of his/her development project at any time. All employees are informed weekly on the company's financial situation (incoming orders, sales prognosis, liquidity forecast). Management presents the overall context on a quarterly basis and answers any questions put by staff.
We see ourselves as a single entity. Every individual is a cog in the machine, and important for the overall outcome. We work together in teams with flat hierarchies, both in the technical area and administration. Our managers / team leaders are active members of the team.
We communicate positively. Every project is important, for us the glass is half full and not half empty.
Our attractive, large social area with a cooker, refrigerators, large tables, chairs and couches is a great place to exchange information and ideas. If so desired, staff members cook and eat lunch here together. Every Friday there is the opportunity to have breakfast together.
